Ralf Buch has been serving as the CEO of Vonovia SE, Europe’s largest real estate firm, since 2013. He embarked on his career in 1991 as an assistant to the management at Bertelsmann Distribution GmbH in Gütersloh after completing his studies. By 1996, he had risen to the position of Managing Director at Bertelsmann Services France and, in 2002, became a board member at arvato AG. In 2008, he was appointed Chairman of the Board of Arvato AG and also became a board member at Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA. Ralf Buch holds degrees in mechanical engineering and business administration, which he earned from RWTH Aachen University.
