Kıvanç Zaimler has been appointed CEO of Sabancı Holding, effective June 1, 2025, after many years of service within the Sabancı Group. He is widely recognized for his leadership in the energy sector, his transformation-driven approach, and his active role in international collaborations.
Having served as President of the Sabancı Holding Energy Group since 2018, Kıvanç Zaimler has overseen Enerjisa Enerji and Enerjisa Üretim, while also serving as Chairman of the Board of Sabancı Climate Technologies, the Group’s U.S.-based platform for renewable energy and climate technology investments. In addition to his leadership in energy, he has played a key role in shaping the transformation of SabancıDx, where he continues to serve as Chairman of the Board.
After joining Enerjisa in 2008, Zaimler held senior executive roles across trading, distribution, and retail businesses, and between 2016 and 2018 served as CEO, leading the company’s initial public offering process.
Before joining the Sabancı Group, Zaimler held executive positions in various sectors, beginning his professional career in 1992. A graduate of İstanbul Erkek High School and Istanbul Technical University, Department of Industrial Engineering, he continued his education at the Technical University of Berlin, bringing a strong international academic background into his professional life.
Actively involved in civil society organizations and international platforms, Zaimler currently holds key responsibilities, including Vice Chair of the World Energy Council Türkiye, Board Membership at the IICEC (Istanbul International Center for Energy and Climate), Advisory Board Membership at the SHURA Energy Transition Center, and membership in TÜSİAD. He also plays an active role in representing both Türkiye and the Sabancı Group on global platforms such as the World Economic Forum (WEF).
Kıvanç Zaimler’s background as a professional basketball player and coach brings a distinctive perspective to his leadership and team management approach. Through personal development and mentorship programs, he actively supports the development of young leaders, reflecting his multidimensional leadership philosophy, which extends beyond the business world to his broader contributions to society.
